Modern extension on a period house, Oak Tree House

Formerly a grand period house, our client’s home is the East wing of this 1920s mansion, which still boasts the original sprung ballroom floor.

Our brief was to help our client increase the size of her home so that her family could enjoy three-generational living. Being a period house, it was essential that we were sympathetic to its origins, whilst creating a modern space for extended family living. We worked with our client and the architect to create a modern two-story extension that sits in harmony with the original part of the house.
